Welcome to the Write Your Way to Freedom review. Can you turn your passion into a successful career just like it’s advertised by the owner of this course, or is this just another scam to avoid?
According to Sarah Turner, you can use copywriting to build a sustainable online business even if you are a complete beginner with no previous writing experience.
Here’s what you need to know. This is a high ticket course, which means that you can easily come across biased reviews that praise Write Your Way to Freedom like it’s the best thing that ever happened on the internet without providing you with any REAL VALUE that you can use in the buy or not decision.
Let me point out that I’m not affiliated with this course, so I won’t get paid if you decide to invest in this program. In other words, I’m not going to ethically bribe you into joining by offering a thousand low-quality eBooks or bonuses.
Instead, I will give you my honest opinion about this course and breakdown everything that you can get inside, including how much you can realistically expect to be making and how long is it going to take to see success, if ever.
Ready? Let’s get started…
Write Your Way to Freedom Review Summary
Product Name: Write Your Way to Freedom
Product Owner: Sarah Turner
Product Type: Freelance Copywriting Course
Product Price: $1,997 or 10 Monthly Payments of $299
Overall Score: 50/100
Recommended: Not For Everyone!
Summary: If you’re interested in learning the skills that are required to be a copywriting freelancer, getting hired by different companies or entrepreneurs, pitching your services with cold outreach, and if you don’t get easily discouraged when you get rejected, then you can probably benefit from this course.
It’s apparent that there are people who have managed to create success thanks to Write Your Way to Freedom, but if you’re not willing to work hard and put in a huge amount of effort (just like with any other LEGIT business opportunity), then you shouldn’t waste your money.
The problem that I have with this course is that in essence, you will learn how to get clients, and work for them, which is kind of like having a job from home.
Every client that you onboard is your boss, so you will have a bunch of them at the same time. For some, this might be precisely what they’re looking for.
In my opinion, the whole point of having an online business is to work for yourself, not for others. In most cases, your income stops if you don’t have any clients, which means that there is little to no room for passive income generation.
That’s why I think that there are other, more suitable, and cost-effective alternatives for those that are interested in starting an online business with content writing.

What is Write Your Way to Freedom About?
It’s an in-depth course about freelance copywriting that shows you how to use your writing skills to help business owners, and entrepreneurs, in exchange for money.
Write Your Way to Freedom is beginner-friendly, which means that the program is suitable for people with no prior experience in writing, and anyone looking to start their own freelance business online.
You will learn how to write persuasive sales copy in your niche, which means that you have the freedom to go with a market that you’re truly interested in.
Does that mean that you should dive into this course? To help you make an educated decision, let me breakdown what it means to be a copywriter.
What is Copywriting?
Copywriting is content writing with the intent to advertise, promote or market something through text. The main goal of a copywriter is to raise brand awareness and persuade the reader into taking some form of action.
To put it in perspective, it’s a skill that is in demand, used by every company, establishment, or organization that earns a profit through selling products and services to people.
Is Write Your Way to Freedom a Scam?
No, it’s a legit course designed to help people learn valuable skills that business owners are willing to pay for.
Operating your own freelance business and acquiring clients is a demanding venture that will take a good amount of time to master.
In the beginning, you will most likely be pitching your service here and there with little to no results. That’s normal and shouldn’t discourage you because you have to prove yourself first and establish a good portfolio.
Even then, you will still have to grind your way to get more customers.
Write Your Way to Freedom is portrayed as a course that can teach you copywriting, but it’s not only about writing a good sales copy.
You will also learn how to find consistent work as a content writer by finding bloggers that are looking to outsource their work, companies that want to hire email marketing experts, and more.
Your business is to help other online businesses grow and develop by doing their hard work for them, which is very similar to what Freelancing Genius is all about.
Freelancing is a competitive market. You have to be good at what you do to ensure that you uphold a level of professionalism and efficiency. Adhering to deadlines is a must.
Instead of working on growing other people’s online businesses and exchanging time for money, I prefer to focus on building my own online assets that can bring in passive income on a regular basis.
Who Created Write Your Way to Freedom?
Sarah Turner is the creator of this course. She is an experienced copywriter and freelancer in the medical, health, and wellness industry.
Currently, she runs her own agency. I think that this is a good sign indicating that Sarah Turner is someone that can teach others how to create their own freelance business online because it’s what she’s been doing for a while now.
According to whois, Sarah Turner’s agency website was founded in 2017, which means that, most likely, she has a good understanding of the freelance business model and how it works.
What’s Inside Write Your Way to Freedom?
Inside this course, you will get access to 7 modules that go through everything that you need to know about acquiring the digital skills needed to earn a full-time income online, which resembles another program that I reviewed recently called Digital Agent System.
The eLearning space industry is competitive, especially when it comes to courses that teach others how to make money online.
This can be considered a good thing because it allows people to choose what’s best for them, and it keeps the course creators on their toes. Let’s breakdown everything that you will get inside Write Your Way to Freedom now.
Module 1: Cultivating a Business Owner Mindset
Most courses that offer you the opportunity to create an online business start you off with the mindset side of things, and there is a good reason for that.
The truth is that it’s hard to create your own stream of income online, and you need to be READY to do the work. If it was EASY, everyone would be successful.
The first thing that you need to realize is that you will have to shift your mindset and adjust your habits.
If you’re not willing to devote a significant amount of time and energy to building an online business, then no amount of courses or training programs can help you.
You will also learn about setting up daily routines and managing your time in the most efficient ways that you can.
Module 2: Building a Solid Foundation
It starts with choosing your niche market. According to the content inside this module, there is no such thing as a ”profitable niche” and I have to agree with Sarah Turner on that one.
The internet is used by more than 4 billion people, which means that whatever you are interested in, there is going to be a market for it, and a way for you to make money online from that.
In other words, going for your passion and choosing a niche that you enjoy is going to help you rather than limit your earnings potential.
Then, you will learn how to study sales copy in your niche, in order to identify what works and how professional copywriters express themselves.
Sarah Turner will cover some techniques that tap into people’s emotions, which can be a great way to get them to perform an action that’s based on what they are feeling.
Module 3: Getting Started Writing
Here you will learn the essential methods of content writing, and what it takes to get started the right way. You will uncover tools that can help you out, a tutorial on Google drive, and the basics of SEO. Becoming good at Search Engine Optimization is one of the core teachings of this course.
That’s because bloggers like myself NEED to produce content on a regular basis, and oftentimes we outsource our content writing to freelancers. In other words, by becoming good at SEO you can find consistent work for a long period of time.
Some website owners that rely on search traffic from Google have full-time freelancers that work on all aspects of their on-page SEO, while they focus on other ways to grow and scale.
That’s why one of the main lessons inside this module has to do with writing high-quality blog posts in your respective niche that can rank well in SERP (Search Engine Results Page).
You will also learn how to write posts inside the private member-only Facebook group of Write Your Way to Freedom, how to price your content writing and where to get started with your writing.
Module 4: Look Like a Pro
This module is all about teaching you how to build a website and how to make it look professional. This can help with establishing yourself as an authority, which in turn can increase your job offers and the likelihood of getting clients.
You will get introduced to essential business tools, and you will be able to see the websites of other students so that you have a template to work with when building out your own virtual property.
Module 5: Client Acquisition
If you don’t have any clients, you aren’t making any money, which is why this module is going to cover everything that you need to know about outreach and the best platforms to find clients.
There are different strategies that you can work with, but none of them are bulletproof, which means that it’s almost GUARANTEED that you will get people to say no to you.
That’s why you need to have a go-getter mindset and not lose your enthusiasm when you hit a roadblock.
You will learn about cold email outreach, LinkedIn marketing, Facebook groups, and referral programs. You can test out different strategies and see which ones work best for you, and double down on them.
Module 6: Pitching & Onboarding Clients
Let’s face it. Not everyone is a natural-born salesperson, but you will NEED to sell yourself and your services to get clients. That’s why you have to be willing to learn how to call potential clients and pitch them your services.
Getting them interested is only half the battle. The next thing that you have to do is close the deal, which is another skill on its own.
You will get trained on how to do all these things by Sarah and the team inside Write Your Way to Freedom. You will also learn how to handle day to day business operations.
Module 7: Advanced SEO
Search Engine Optimization is HUGE in the freelance market. If you are good at identifying keyword opportunities, website audits, and content writing, you have a much higher chance of getting more clients and securing long term gigs.
Module 7 is all about honing your SEO skills, getting familiar with Google Analytics, which is the blogger’s best friend when it comes to tracking results, and optimization. You will also learn how to overcome writer’s block.
Bonus Module: Increasing Your Skillset
This module will cover sales funnels. What are they, how they work for business owners, and why you need to learn how to write persuasive content inside a sales funnel to increase your earnings potential.
Email copywriting is one of the essential skills that you should master if you’re looking for high paying jobs.
That’s why you will learn everything about email messaging. As a bonus, you can participate in weekly live Q & A sessions with the rest of the members inside this course.
How Much Does Write Your Way to Freedom Cost?
You have two payment options. A one-time fee of $1,997 or 10 monthly payments of $299. If you choose to pay in full, it will cost you $993 less than what you have to pay with the split payment option.
On the checkout page, there is a box that you need to tick off, which makes you liable to keep up with the payments or you may be held responsible.
Does Write Your Way to Freedom Offer a Refund?
Yes, you can get a refund as long as it’s within 14 days of purchase. This refund applies regardless if you decide to pay in full or by taking advantage of the split payment option.
As long as you make a request to get your money back within the given timeframe, they will grant you a refund.
What I Like About Write Your Way to Freedom
1. You Will Learn Valuable Skills. Search Engine Optimization, email, and website copywriting are all great skills that can bring you an income online. These skills are currently in demand, and people are willing to pay well for outsourcing this kind of work to professionals.
2. Sarah Turner is an Experienced Freelancer. She knows the ups and downs of this business model. In my opinion, the fact that she has a freelancing agency makes her more than qualified to teach others how to get into this business. In other words, she knows what she is doing.
3. You Have Two Weeks to Change your Mind. This is more than enough time to get a good understanding of the content inside.
What I Don’t Like About Write Your Way to Freedom
1. It’s Expensive. Many freelance courses charge much less for getting access to that kind of information. On top of that, there are ways to start an online business without investing that much money upfront.
2. Onboarding Clients is Like Having Multiple Bosses. Every assignment that you take is a commitment to your client and every client comes with their own specific requirements, wants, and needs. You can’t really take spontaneous days off, and you have to schedule your time around your commitments. It sounds a bit too restrictive to me.
3. You Exchange Time For Money. This can make it difficult to scale your online freelance business. There are only so many hours in a given day.
4. When You Stop Working You Start Losing Money. Theoretically, you CAN earn royalties and get people to continuously pay for using YOUR work, but I don’t think that it’s a common occurrence.
My Recommendation
Write Your Way to Freedom is for those that are interested in learning digital skills that are in demand and leveraging them to create a full-time online business as freelancers. You will learn how to be the go-to source for bloggers, content writers, email marketers, and online establishments that are looking to outsource some of their work.
Instead of working for yourself, you are working for others, helping them grow their online business. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I prefer a different way to make money online. One that allows me to earn passive income from the work that I’ve already done.
It involves writing content and doing SEO but for myself, rather than for someone else. There is a reason why bloggers hire content writers and pay them for the amount of work they do. It frees up their time.
The question that you need to ask yourself is, which side do you prefer to be on?
Thank you for the review. That really helped me understand everything involved.
I also appreciate your take on having multiple bosses. That sounds like a lot of juggling, that I’d rather not deal with. Not saying it’s bad or wrong, just not for me.
I’m glad you found this article useful.
