Here’s what you need to know. This training is one of the many that are published through the well-known eLearning platform called Lurn.

That’s why, I would like to point out that I’m not affiliated with Printable Profits, Lurn, or any of their training courses. In other words, I won’t be offering a thousand low-quality eBooks for joining through my links.

Ready? Let’s get started…

Printable Profits Review Summary

Product Name: Printable Profits

Product Owner: Dave Kettner

Product Type: Print on Demand, eCommerce Training

Product Price: 4 Monthly Payments of $397

Overall Score: 45/100

Recommended: Not For Beginners!

Summary: Printable Profits is an eCommerce business model that’s all about creating your own design on mugs, and selling them online.

According to Dave Kettner and his webinar, you can easily turn this into a profitable venture, and he makes the entire business model look so easy that anyone can make money with it.

While there may be a REAL potential to become profitable with this type of Print On Demand business model, here’s something that you don’t get to learn inside the free training.

The reality is that it’s not going to be as easy as it seems at first glance, and there are big financial risks that you need to consider before you buy Printable Profits.

Apart from spending $1,588 on this course, there are other expenses to consider, such as traffic (web users).

To get people to see your mugs you will probably end up paying for ads, which means that you will spend a few hundred a month in addition to everything else.

If you don’t have the capital to keep things afloat until your business kicks off the ground, you will fail.

The truth is that NO ONE knows how long it’s going to take before you start earning more than you spend.

In other words, the risk is BIG, and if you are on a tight budget or don’t feel like investing thousands of dollars, then you might want to reconsider your involvement with Printable Profits in the first place.

I think that there are other, more suitable, and cost-effective alternatives for those that don’t feel comfortable spending that much money upfront.

What is Printable Profits?

It’s a training course that can help you launch and run your own Print On Demand business. The idea behind Printable Profits is to make it as easy as it can be to start selling mugs online.

Dave Kettner has prepared a number of things that can help with your success but before we get into all of that, let’s breakdown the business model.

What is Print On Demand?

It’s a way for creative individuals to monetize their talents. If you’ve always wanted to express your creativity and make money from that, then Print On Demand (POD) may be the right business model for you.

Here’s how it works. You connect with a supplier of physical goods and work out an arrangement to put your designs on their products.

Printable Profits shows you how to work with suppliers to sell mugs, but you can always expand your reach and get your designs on t-shirts, hats, bags, etc.

Your job consists of two things. Choosing a design for your merchandise, and driving sales. Everything else is done by your supplier. From the production of your items to the shipping and handling. That’s the entire Print On Demand Business model in a nutshell.

Since you will be relying on your supplier for a lot of things in regards to your online business, it’s important to choose the right one. That’s the first problem that you have to solve, and Dave Kettner’s course can help you with that.

Is Printable Profits a Scam?

printable profits review legit or not

No, it’s not. Printable Profits is a legit training program. The fact that it’s endorsed and published by Lurn, is one of the things that make me trust Dave Kettner and his course.

Lurn is a digital training platform filled with programs, and educational content on digital marketing and making money online.

In order to reach a broader audience, and gain instant credibility, the owner of Printable Profits has partnered with the founder of Lurn, Anik Singal.

Being endorsed by such a huge online platform comes with its perks. It’s important to understand that Anik Singal is well known by a lot of people. He is the creator of Email Startup Incubator and many other training programs that have helped people with making money online.

Partnering with someone like that can increase the sales percentage of Printable Profits. Lurn has been around for a long time, and Anik Singal has a reputation as a legit, trustworthy guy.

I doubt that he will risk losing that by partnering with a scam artist or endorsing a low-quality training course.

Who Created Printable Profits?

Dave Kettner is the creator and founder of Printable Profits. According to his bio on Lurn, he is an expert at running a Private Label online business on Amazon.

He got into eCommerce and sold his first product on Amazon back in 2013. He managed to generate consistent income in the Cell Phone and Accessories niche market.

Dave Kettner is the proud owner of an online business that brings in consistent 6 figure income each month from Amazon.

Leveraging the knowledge and experience that he gained over the years, he decided to teach others how to gain success on Amazon with Print On Demand and the Private Label business model.

What’s Inside Printable Profits?

printable profits reviews inside

Inside Printable Profits, you can get access to an 8 module course, with about 16 hours of video content inside, teaching you the ins and outs of the Print On Demand business model.

Dave Kettner’s course comes with a Facebook community, where you can interact with like-minded individuals, share ideas, and more. Let’s breakdown EXACTLY what you can get inside Printable Profits.

Module 1 – Discovering Designs That Sell

After the welcome video that shows you how to navigate inside the training, you will be presented with the first module inside Printable Profits.

It’s approximately 2 hours, 28 minutes, and 56 seconds long. The purpose of this module is to show you how to research and find designs that have a higher than average chance of selling.

It’s important to distinguish the difference between what YOU like, and what the market WANTS to buy.

The good thing about discovering designs that sell is that you don’t really have to do any guesswork, because there’s an abundance of data all over the internet. As long as you know where, and how to look, you will be able to identify profitable opportunities.

Module 2 – Creating Your Own Design

This module is 1 hour, 44 minutes, and 19 seconds long. The Creating Your Own Design lesson is all about teaching you how to compose visually appealing and attractive designs even if you’ve never done anything like it before.

You will be introduced to some ideas and different ways that you can go about creating your own designs.

You don’t need to be able to draw them yourself, and there’s no need for a Graphics Design degree either.

If you go through this module, and you’re still struggling with creating your own design, you can leverage 100 templates that will be given to you as a bonus for joining Printable Profits.

Module 3 – Creating Products For Dropshipping

Being able to offer a more personalized approach that’s catered towards your client’s wants and needs is the perfect way to ensure more sales.

Even though Printable Profits is mainly focused on teaching you how to partner with suppliers of mugs, most of them will not be limited to only one type of merchandise.

In other words, you can easily implement the same methods that you are being shown to create a bunch of different products.

That way, your potential clients can choose a variety of things to buy from you. This module is 1 hour, 45 minutes, and 06 seconds long.

Module 4 – Creating Products For Sale on Etsy

Etsy is an online platform that connects sellers with buyers. This 3 hour, 4 minutes, and 15 seconds long lesson will show you how to create products for sale on Etsy.

It’s one of the easiest ways to get your products out there and reach a broader audience of potential customers.

In order to appeal to Etsy’s rules and regulations, you need to make sure that your product designs are unique. There are some additional expenses, that you have to take into consideration such as listing and transaction fees.

Module 5 – Etsy Optimization & Growth

This module is 2 hours, 2 minutes, and 12 seconds long. It’s focused on the details and optimization techniques that will increase your chances of reaching more people, getting more sales, and growing your Print On Demand online business with Etsy.

That alone is most likely NOT going to be enough for you to make a decent amount of money online, which is why the next modules are all about expanding your reach.

Module 6 – Expanding To Other Marketplaces

By going through this 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 25 seconds long lesson, you will learn about other platforms that you can leverage to reach more people.

There are many marketplaces to explore, and making sure that you tap into a whole bunch of them at the same time will exponentially increase your chances of success.

It’s also going to increase your expenses since being listed on these marketplaces is not going to be free.

Module 7 – Expanding To Amazon Private Label

This module is 1 hour, 16 minutes, and 50 seconds long. Leveraging Amazon to sell your own products and outsourcing the creation to someone else, is an effective strategy to maximize your profits, and lower your costs.

Everyone knows Amazon and buys things from there, which means that if you manage to successfully list your brand and products on their marketplace, you have a real potential of generating a significant amount of revenue.

It’s important to know that the competition is very big on Amazon, which means that it won’t be easy to get organic exposure for your products without paying for ads.

Module 8 – Taking Your Business To The Next Level

This module is all about expanding and growing your existing online business. When you start making money by implementing everything that you are taught inside Printable Profits, you will have to scale at some point.

This 1 hour, 15 minute, and 18 seconds long lesson is focused on helping you reach the next level in your online business.

How Much Does Printable Profits Cost?

It will cost you 4 monthly payments of $397. The price of the course is not the only thing that you will have to spend money on. Etsy will charge you $0.20 per item that you list on their platform.

They will also take 5% of what you charge for each item that gets bought through the Etsy marketplace. Amazon’s marketplace charges $0.99 per sold item for individual sellers.

Professional sellers pay fees that range from 6% to 25% which means that you have to consider the amount of money that you will spend for every marketplace that you get your items listed on.

On top of that, you will most likely end up spending even more money for paid ads, to get more people to see your products faster.

Can You Get a Refund on Printable Profits?

Printable Profits is being sold through Lurn and they have a NO REFUNDS policy. They have a 3-day cancellation policy for every product that’s over $25, which means that you can get your money back within 3 days from purchasing Printable Profits. After that cancellation period is over, you can’t get your money back.

What I Like About Printable Profits

printable profits review pros vs cons

1. The Business Model is Legit. Everyone that gets involved with Print On Demand has a chance of success. That particular business model is responsible for many online success stories.

2. Printable Profits is Published By Lurn
. That’s definitely a good thing, and it proves the credibility and quality of the training that you’re being offered inside.

What I Don’t Like About Printable Profits

1. It’s Not For Beginners. According to Dave Kettner, Printable Profits is great for beginners, but in my opinion, the risks outweigh the potential rewards that you can get with this business model. Unless you are 100% sure that Print On Demand is the business model for you, there are other, more cost-effective, and beginner-friendly options that you can explore.

2. It’s Too Expensive
. If you are not willing to invest and risk losing thousands of dollars, then Printable Profits is probably not for you.

3. No Refunds
. The 3-day cancellation policy does not give you enough time to test and see if this business model is the right solution for you. The no refund policy makes this whole venture riskier than it needs to be.

My Recommendation

Printable Profits can show you how to start your own Print On Demand business, and add your own designs on items like mugs, water bottles, and more.

By now you should know the potential risks of getting involved with this particular business model. My advice is that you should buy the Printable Profits course ONLY if you are aware and don’t mind the potential losses that you can suffer.

Just like any other business that you get involved with (online or offline), there’s always the risk of failing.

There are many online opportunities to build a sustainable stream of income that do not require investing thousands of dollars upfront. If you’re interested in exploring different ways of making money online, then you should see this alternative for passive income.

People are banking profits using a simple yet incredibly effective blueprint that so many neglect and lose out on that opportunity forever. Don’t be most people.

  1. I appreciate your honesty and thoroughness in describing this model from LURN. I have taken a number of seminars promoting various business opportunities and I honestly believe this is the best fit for me based on my personality and work ethic. Thank you for your review.

  2. Just finished Dave Kettners webinar which includes his Printable Income ebook for free. The publisher now offers a one-time payment of $1191 and they now offer 6 bonuses. Still on the fence, and yet this program has a creative element that appeals to me. Thanks for your research as well.

  3. I bought this program and hardly anyone including myself are making money-the kind they hype. Your review without being a member is very accurate. You MUST have funds to advertise until you get reviews for more traffic trust. The real money is made with unique and personal printing on mugs, T-Shirts etc.. The company that is recommended for fulfillment has many issues fulfilling orders on time which is a problem-huge problem. I have not made many sales; however, others that are ahead of me in sales have lost their stores from customer complaints. Truth…earnings potential in the first year is BS for the person that does not have a huge marketing budget.

The good side: you will learn how to build this business and I know if you stick with it and get creative with your product offerings to the point that you can Private Label, you can expand and build a real business. Have the capital to build! Don’t go with the hype of Dave and Anik to make your decision. Make this a business decision that you will work no matter what. If you can see yourself liking to build this kind of business, it is an OK course. Dave is learning as he goes by the way. He gets people more experienced on his webinars. Not very good trainers but you can learn if you pay attention.

    • You have to take programs like Printable Profits with a bit of skepticism, especially when you’re interacting with their free webinars. Their main goal is to get you to become a paying member, so it’s quite usual to see hyped-up and exaggerated claims. I appreciate your comment, I’m sure that it can help serve as a guide to everyone interested in this course.

  4. Dave Kettner’s “mugpreneur” webinar is completely misleading, to the point of being false advertising. He repeatedly says one can go into that business without upfront costs. He repeatedly says you don’t pay for the mugs until you make a sale. That is dishonest. If you are using the integration, you pay for a mug when you make a sale. Then you are reimbursed the cost when Etsy or Amazon pays you. In the case of Amazon, it can take quite some time to get your payout. Dave Kettner has been selling on Amazon for years. Obviously, he knows this.
If you cannot pay for the mug until you get paid for the sale, you have to do the manual order process, and your customer has to wait longer, which you have to clearly state in your s&h time frame, which can put customers off.
I watched the webinar, waiting for clarification that never came. I stopped watching when he started sending people to the sign up page. Maybe someone asked the right question during the q & a, but that changes nothing. It is wrong to send people to the sign up page and ask for their hard-earned money after misleading them about the business expenses! That is a horrible thing to do to people.

  5. I bought the program after Dave Kettner’s “mugpreneur” webinar in May.

    1. I don’t recall any mention that the student needs to use an EXCEL worksheet in following the course online.

    2) Also I did not hear anything about a 3 day money back refund in the webinar. I recall that an absolute refusal of refunds was stated. This course definitely needs a MBG policy greater than 3 days.

    3) The course is not as simple as indicated in webinar. I find there is a Great Deal of Detail to follow. And to master. Also, there is usually ‘homework’ to do before proceeding to the next lesson. There are necessary references to other websites that have to be understood & used. (Which I had difficulty with). There is an issue about Copyrights for Images that needs better further explanation.
But I have no doubt that Mr Kettner knows his subject! Yet, beginners, BEWARE.
