Leapvista Review

Welcome to my Leapvista review. Can you really launch a successful e-commerce business with Steve and Evan Tan, or is this just another scam program to avoid?

Here’s what you need to know. Whenever I see online course creators flashing their Lambos and promoting the luxurious entrepreneurial lifestyle, I immediately become suspicious.

That’s because MOST low quality programs and courses that I’ve reviewed throughout the years have one common trait.

They all try to lure people in with flashy lifestyles and hyped up claims of easy money. Here’s a screenshot of Steve and Evan Tan’s homepage on their Supertanbros.com website.

After doing a thorough research on their Leapvista program, I discovered a bunch of shady things that you should definitely be aware of before you even think of purchasing any of their courses.

By the time you’re done here, you will know exactly what you’re getting into, without any hype or exaggerations.

Leapvista Review Summary

Product Name: Leapvista

Product Owners: Steve Tan & Evan Tan

Product Type: eCommerce Training Program

Product Price: $997

Overall Score: 45/100

Recommended: Not For Everyone!

Summary: Leapvista is an educational platform created for aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals interested in learning more about eCommerce and making money online with dropshipping.

There’s a lot of controversy about the quality of the training inside this platform. According to ex members of Leapvista, a lot of what’s inside can already be found online, free of charge.

Also, some claim that all the positive reviews on platforms like Trustpilot are fabricated.

A lot of accusations are going around the internet about the Tan brothers. When it comes to training programs and courses like this one, it’s always better to focus on the negative side of things.

That way, even if you do end up buying, you already know the worst that can happen. Having your own eCommerce business is costly.

If you want someone else to build your website, you should expect to spend anywhere from $3,000 upwards.

Then you have to think about buying products on behalf of your clients and enduring the waiting period for your money to be released into your account, which could take up to two weeks.

If you want to avoid all of that and not have to deal with customer service, refunds, complaints, and chargebacks, you should see this cost effective alternative below.

What is Leapvista?

It’s a platform created by Steve Tan & Evan Tan. They have recruited a team of experts to help them run their organization.

Leapvista’s chief trainer is Benjamin Tan, the Chief Marketing Officer is Gabriel Wong and the Chief Operating Officer is Shannon Goh.

That’s the team behind this training platform. Currently, it looks like they are entirely focused on promoting and selling ONE of the courses inside, called Ecom Dominator.

It’s a training focused on helping people start an eCommerce business online by buying products from China through platforms like Aliexpress, or Alibaba and selling them for a profit within the USA and Europe.

According to their sales page, you will learn everything you need to get started and then move on to some advanced stuff that everyone looking to succeed in this business needs to know.

Is Leapvista a Scam?

leapvista review legit or not

No, Leapvista is NOT a scam. However, all the information I gathered while doing my research leads me to believe that you won’t learn a ton of groundbreaking, game changing stuff inside the course, and here’s why.

I’ve reviewed a lot of eCommerce courses, and MOST of them go over the same things:

1. Buy Hosting, Domain Name, and Set up Your eCommerce Store
.

2. Find a Supplier For Your Products From China and Negotiate a Deal
.

3. Start Running Facebook Ads, Google Ads & Influencer Marketing to Attract Visitors to Your Store

4. Pray That You Get a Good Return on Your Investment.

If you take a look at Tan Choudhury’s course, you will see him teaching the same e-commerce strategies as Leapvista and everyone else.

For a lot of entrepreneurs, these methods work extremely well. However, due to the HUGE competition, you would have to find a way to stand out from all your competitors in one way or another.

That’s the only way to increase your chances of success and avoid burning through your money before you find what works for you.

I took a good read of all the positive reviews that Leapvista has on Trustpilot, and something didn’t seem quite right. Most if not all of them were very generic.

I read through reviews with one, two sentences tops, and they all mentioned things like how great the course is and how awesome the coaches are.

There wasn’t any substance to them. Call me a skeptic, but they look a lot like paid reviews to me. I’ve seen it happen before with other programs like AMZDFY.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not accusing anyone of anything. I’m only sharing my own personal opinion here.

I also think that there are better ways to start an online business without spending money on paid ads.

If that sounds interesting and you want to learn how to leverage your passions hobbies, or general interests to make money online, take a look below.

Who Are Steve Tan & Evan Tan?

supertan bros

In 2007 Steve decided to move away from eBay auctions and opened his own eCommerce store. Fast forward two years later, he was averaging $500K/Month. In 2010 he opened up another startup that failed one year later.

His next attempt was when he founded a watch company called Kreyos. At first, it all looked well, and Steve was making decent money.

However, he had to close down his new business in 2014. Failing with his last attempt made him broke and depressed.

Thanks to his brother Evan, Steve was able to bounce back, and in 2016 they opened up an eCommerce store together. According to their about page, in their most successful months, they were averaging 7 figures.

What’s Inside Leapvista?

Inside Leapvista, you can get access to 3 main training programs. Ecom Domination, AMZ Elite, and Digital Secrets.

Currently, only the first course is available, but that may change by the time you go through this review. Here’s a breakdown of Steve and Evan Tan’s Ecom Domination Bootcamp.

It’s a course focused on teaching the dropshipping business model. You will learn how to sell physical products from China to international markets.

Even though you don’t have to touch or see your inventory, According to the Tan brothers, it’s best if you purchased a sample product for yourself before you start selling it to others.

That way, you can get a better understanding of the product quality, its shape, size, additional features, etc. By knowing exactly what you’re selling, you can create accurate descriptions and minimize refund rates.

Building Your Website

The Tan brothers use Shopify for all their website building and setup. You can easily create your website in a matter of minutes or up to an hour and integrate all essential apps, payment gateways, and checkout pages needed to successfully run your own eCommerce store.

Keep in mind that Shopify comes with its own price tag of $29/Month for the basic features, $79/Month for growing with one retail store, or $299/Month with 2 retail stores.

FYI, Shopify has an affiliate program that rewards people when they refer others. That’s one of the main reasons why so many online Gurus promote Shopify as their go-to software for all your eCommerce needs.

Products and Supplier Selection

The next step is to find products to sell in a niche market of your choice and locating a supplier you can work with. The Tan brothers focus on Aliexpress as their main platform for identifying selling opportunities.

Aliexpress allows you to buy products and ship them directly to your customers, with your own brand, logo, and any additional messages that you would like to be embedded within your products.

According to the Tan brothers, most sellers inside this marketplace sell internationally, which will make it easier for you to find a supplier.

You can navigate within Aliexpress’s best sellers section and find profitable opportunities, which can reduce your research time.

Adding Products in Your Shopify Store

If you decide to leverage the Shopify panel to add your products, you may find that it’s a tedious and difficult task. That’s why you’re advised to use tools and apps to save time and energy, like Oberlo or Dropified.

According to the Tan brothers, you can easily import products from Aliexpress to your eCommerce store with the click of a few buttons.

Getting Traffic to Your Store

If you don’t have a consistent flow of web users (traffic) to your eCommerce store, you won’t be making any money.

That’s why you will learn how to market your products on Facebook and Google. This will cost you money but hopefully, you will be able to make more than you spend.

There is a learning curve to it, so don’t get frustrated if your first few campaigns fail. As long as you have the budget to keep going until you figure out what works best for you, eventually, you will start making more than you spend.

If you’re wondering how long it will take you to get there, there is no straightforward answer. It depends on a lot of things, like the products you’re selling and the traffic you’re acquiring.

Even different seasons play a role in your sales rate. Platforms like Leapvista can help you learn the basics of running paid ads, but they won’t guarantee your success rate.

There’s always a degree of risk when it comes to running paid ads online. The Tan brothers focus on email marketing as well. This is a good way of getting more sales and letting your audience know about your new product launches.

What I Like About Leapvista

leapvista review pros vs cons

1. You Can Learn From The Tan Brothers. If you’re a complete newbie with no prior experience or knowledge in eCommerce, you can definitely learn a lot of useful things to start a dropshipping business online.

2. The Owners of Leapvista Have Experience.
By the looks of it, the Tan brothers have had a bunch of ups and downs in their journey, which makes them experienced and well versed in what they’re teaching others.

What I Don’t Like About Leapvista

1. Possibility of Fake Reviews. There are lots of rumors online about Leapvista’s positive reviews. According to some people, they are created by current members in exchange for money or something else. It’s either that or a competitor may be trying to smear their reputation.

2. It’s an Expensive Model.
Even with the free traffic generation training inside Leapvista, you will likely have to spend money on paid ads online. If you don’t have a few thousand at your disposal, your chances of failure increase significantly.

3. Dropshipping Comes With a Lot of Headaches.
You need to think about constantly appealing to your customers, dealing with negative reviews, promptly issuing refunds when they’re requested, and always making sure you keep your customers happy with great customer service.

Is There a Better Alternative?

Unless you’re really passionate about the dropshipping business model and you have the capital needed to get started the right way, I think that there are better ways to start a profitable online business.

Instead of buying products from China, paying for moving fees, dealing with customer service, and paying for traffic generation, you could learn how to promote other people’s products and pocket in on the commissions.

It’s the most cost effective way of starting your own online business with huge profit potential.

You don’t have to deal with refunds, customer service, and everything else that traditional dropshipping eCommerce store owners have to go through on a daily basis to make money online.

All you have to do is connect people with products and services they need and get rewarded for that. If it sounds interesting, take a look below.
