Fred Lam – Pod Challenge Review

Welcome to my POD Challenge review. Can Fred Lam and his team really help you build a Print on Demand eCommerce business online, or is this another scam to avoid?

Here’s what you need to know. The founder of the POD Challenge is well known for his iPro Academy platform, where he teaches various ways to make money online.

Fred Lam has already helped a lot of people get started with their own online businesses. However, that does not necessarily mean that you will benefit from his POD Challenge program.

That’s why I’ve decided to create this review and help you get a better understanding of what exactly you’re getting access to, without any hype or exaggerated claims of income.

I’m not affiliated with this program in any way or form, so don’t expect a thousand low quality bonuses for joining through my links because you won’t find any.

Ready? Let’s get started…

POD Challenge Review Summary

Product Name: POD Challenge

Product Owner: Fred Lam

Product Type: Print On Demand Training Course

Product Price: $20+

Overall Score: 55/100

Recommended: Not For Everyone!

Summary: The first thing you need to realize, is that Fred Lam is first and foremost a great internet marketer (in my opinion, of course).

That’s why it’s highly likely that you were left with the impression that the POD business model is extremely lucrative and worthy of your time and money.

While it does have its own unique advantages compared to other ways to get started and earn income online, you need to know the following things.

With Print on Demand, your profit margins vary and may be low, especially when you take into consideration the amount of money you have to spend on Facebook ads to get people to see your products.

Then, you have to ensure great product quality, which may be a problem at times. If you happen to get a bunch of negative reviews on your online store from the get go, your sales and earnings will suffer a lot.

That’s why, I think that there are better ways for beginners to get started with making money online, without creating their own products and without relying heavily on expensive Facebook ads.

What is POD Challenge?

POD Challenge by Fred Lam is a 21 day challenge that will help you get started with Print On Demand and eCommerce. It’s open for a limited time throughout the year.

Unlike other courses that I’ve reviewed, the sense of urgency that can be seen on the sales page is REAL

Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect to learn inside this challenge.

Shopify

Fred Lam is a huge advocate of Shopify. According to him, this is the best platform to create an eCommerce store that comes with everything you need to convert a cold audience into hot leads that are ready to buy your stuff.

However, by simply creating an online store, you won’t be able to make money.

You need to have sales driven apps, shipping tables, simple but effective configurations, essential pages designed to entice people to perform some sort of action, and high converting themes.

That way, you can maximize the conversion rate of every single visitor that lands on your website/store.

Partnering With Vendors

Getting into contact with high quality US based vendors is also one of the essential things you need to do. They will help you create, store and ship your products each time you get a sale.

The cool thing about this business model is that you don’t have to buy products in bulk, and you don’t have to spend a ton of money on inventory.

You pay your vendors to create your merchandise, ONLY when you’ve been paid by a customer that’s already purchased something from your online store.

Traffic Generation

Without traffic (web users) that come to your website, you can’t do much. It’s the lifeblood of any online business, regardless of its type, niche market, and the services it provides.

You can have the best product, the best design, and the best pricing structure, but without anyone to see these things, there’s no way you can make any money online.

According to Fred Lam, the number one way to generate traffic is by running Facebook ads.

You can easily find highly targeted traffic for your online store by taking advantage of everything that’s offered inside your ad account.

It’s a simple and effective way to generate leads and sales. However, it can also be a really great way to lose a lot of money if you’re not careful with what you’re doing.

Even though results can be instant with this method, you are essentially investing in DATA. In other words, your first few ad campaigns will likely fail.

However, if you can LEARN from these campaigns, then you have a higher chance of figuring out what works best for you.

The bigger your ad budget is, the more data you can collect, and the higher your chance of turning a profit gets. Here are some key things you need to learn before you can succeed with Facebook ads.

– What’s making your audience click on your ad?

– What’s making them leave your website?

– Why they are not buying from you?

According to Fred Lam and his POD Challenge, if you can find an answer to these questions, you will have a successful online eCommerce business.

With the data that you accumulate by running numerous ads, you can create logical changes to your website’s layout and offer structure, to increase your sales and conversions.

Alternative: Here’s how to start a profitable online business without running any ads and without even owning a product or service.

Is POD Challenge a Scam?

POD Challenge legit or not

Definitely NOT. POD Challenge from Fred Lam is a legit training course designed to walk you through everything you need to learn to have a successful Print on Demand business.

I really like how transparent Fred is with his “evil” motive for offering this course at such a low price. In case you’ve missed that part of the long sales page, here’s a short recap.

1. He Wants to Gain Your Trust.
That way, you will be more predisposed to listening to him and following his advice.

2. He Wants a Video Testimonial.
This helps with building that initial trust with new prospects.

3. He Wants to Sell His More Expensive Programs.
For example, his advanced POD course costs $997. Ideally, every customer that buys this challenge will want to get the advanced course as well.

What I Like About POD Challenge

POD Challenge review pros vs cons

1. It’s Not Expensive. The $20 price tag can show you a glimpse of what to expect if you decide to dive into the world of eCommerce and Print on Demand. Even if you end up disliking the program, the business model, and the course creator, you won’t be risking that much money upfront.

2. Fred Lam Has Been Around For a While. On top of that, he has helped a lot of people get started with making money online.

3. Print on Demand is a Legit Business Model.
It offers the opportunity for creative individuals to create unique designs and place them on various items like shirts, mugs, etc.

What I Don’t Like About POD Challenge

1. You Need a Decent Ad Budget. Facebook ads are expensive and they keep on getting more pricey as time goes by. In order to find out which campaigns convert the best, you will probably end up spending a lot of money even with the help of Fred Lam and his team.

2. It Can Be an Expensive Business Venture.
Don’t let the low price of getting access to this challenge fool you. To make it all work, you will have to invest in the Shopify platform, Facebook ads, and more likely than not, in some of Fred’s more expensive courses.

3. It’s Not The Best Business Model for Beginners.
There are different ways to get started as a beginner and Print on Demand is one of them. However, I’m not convinced that it’s the best one for those with no prior online experience.

Is There a Better Alternative?

Unless you’re very passionate about starting your POD business online, I know that there are better ways to start making money online.

I still believe that affiliate marketing is one of the best business models out there. It allows you to promote other people’s products and services around topics that YOU are passionate about. It can be anything you like, such as fitness, sports, meditation, you get the point.

With this business model, you don’t have to spend any money on Facebook ads, you don’t have to worry about customer service, creating or updating products and you can get started with a limited budget.

Using the above mentioned business model and the 4 step system that you will see on the next page, I was able to earn as much as $1K from a SINGLE affiliate sale, with ZERO ad spend.
