Welcome to my review of Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising. Can you really learn how to run and scale paid ads with AOA Profit Society or is this just another scam to avoid?
Here’s what you need to know. This is a high ticket, expensive training, which means that you can come across biased and one-sided blogs that praise it like it’s the best thing that ever happened on the internet without providing any REAL VALUE that you can use in the buy or not decision.
That’s why I want to point out that I’m not affiliated with Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising in any way or form, so don’t expect a thousand low-quality bonuses for joining through my links.
I will give you my honest opinion about this program and breakdown everything that you can get inside as a member so that you can make an educated decision without any hype or exaggeration.

What is Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising About?
It’s an all in one solution for people that want to learn how to run paid ads on all the major platforms.
Academy of Advertising is MAINLY focused on teaching business owners how to run campaigns for their own online businesses or as an agency providing services to others that don’t have the time to do it themselves or simply prefer to outsource all the paid traffic (web users) generation.
Even though the sales page claims that this is suitable for people with zero experience in making money online, I don’t think that it’s the best solution for beginners because of the high price tag and the business model itself. Running paid ads online can be a challenge, and not everyone is cut out for it.
On the upside, there is a $1 trial that allows you to test the waters and see if this is a good fit for you. Just don’t forget to unsubscribe if you decide that it’s not. FYI, you won’t get your money back on your ad spend.
Is Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising a Scam?
No, it’s not a scam. It’s a legit program that can teach eCommerce store owners, online consultants, and local service providers how to acquire more leads and sales through paid advertising.
You should know that the competition is HUGE on Facebook, and the other platforms are not that far behind. That’s why you need to be extremely careful with your ad budget, and always track your data to see how your campaigns are doing.
Jason Hornung can definitely help you with all of that and more, plus he can teach you how to start with a low budget of about $5/day to see what works, what doesn’t, and scale by focusing on profitable ad campaigns.
There are different ways to pay for exposure. It’s up to you as an advertiser to explore different opportunities and figure out the best one for your business. For example, you could consider running native ads.
That’s when you get your promotions placed on various sources, such as blog posts that blend in with the content, which can make it harder for people to realize that they are looking at an ad. There are courses, focused solely on teaching you how to run native ads, like Liam James Kay’s Master Natives ads program.
Or you could avoid spending money for exposure, which is my recommendation for all beginners. By focusing on helping people and giving them high-quality information, you can make money online through free traffic generation methods.
Who is Jason Hornung?
He is the owner of an ads agency that specializes in direct response mainly on Facebook. According to his bio, Jason Hornung generated over a million dollars in sales for his agency through direct mail.
Before that, he was investing his time cold calling people and business establishments, but he wasn’t very successful with that particular method.
In 2005, 2006, and 2007, Jason Hornung won the JD Power Award for Outstanding Client Service, thanks to the insurance lead generation industry.
Even though he is not that popular on Youtube, with a bit over 1,37K subscribers, It’s safe to say that he knows a thing or two about running online ads and being a successful entrepreneur.
Throughout the years, he created a bunch of different courses and training programs that were designed to help people make money online, such as the 7 Figure Blueprint, Facebook Ads Profit Maximizer Bootcamp, and more.
In 2019, Jason Hornung decided to combine everything that he created over the years and package it into one program, called the Academy of Advertising.
According to the reviews on his website, many of his students are currently earning a full-time income thanks to Jason and his program.
What’s Inside Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising?
Inside, you will get full access to everything that Jason Hornung has created over the years, including his consulting services to help you kick start your profitable ad campaigns without having to put in any guesswork whatsoever. Let’s breakdown everything that’s included inside his AOA – Profit Society.
The Profit Playbook
This guide will teach you how to convert paid traffic to buying customers and how to scale your campaigns to earn more with less effort.
It covers the best strategies that are currently working in today’s competitive market, a 12 creative frameworks strategy guide, designed to convert cold, warm, and hot traffic into sales, and a gameplan to increase the odds in your favor.
The Profit Playbook also comes with 15 proven ad swipe files and standard operating procedures manual.
Facebook Ads Bootcamp Course
The Facebook Ads Profit Maximizer Bootcamp comes with a bunch of training on, you guessed it, Facebook ads. It starts by showing you how to set up and launch native campaigns for your offers, or your client’s offers.
Jason Hornung covers competitive intelligence, dive surveys, adding a Facebook pixel, retargeting, and more.
Google/Youtube Ads Bootcamp Course
Google and Youtube are two of the biggest platforms for online exposure. Running ads on either of these websites can be incredibly profitable if done correctly.
The Bootcamp course will go over some basics that you need to know for effective ad copy set up and more.
You should know that Google has its own course on ads that you can go through called Skillshop.
It’s absolutely free, so if you’re interested in Google and Youtube ads in particular, then you might as well avoid spending money on paid courses and get free education directly from the source.
7 Figure Agency Blueprint
This is a hands-on training that shows you how to start an online business from scratch by leveraging Facebook for lead generation.
Jason Hornung’s experience in running his own ads agency makes this course ideal for those that have the budget and the desire to launch their own advertising business online by using the 7 Figure Blueprint.
Copywriting Bootcamp Course
Good copywriting is essential for advertisers and internet marketers. By grabbing people’s attention, they will click on your ad, and by producing a great piece of content on your landing page you will increase the likelihood of keeping people’s attention and converting them into paying clients.
The more they stay engaged with your ad copy, the higher the likelihood of getting them to buy from you is.
How Much Does Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising Cost?
There’s a trial offer in place, that allows you to try things out for $1. It gives you limited access to the content inside, allowing you to decide for yourself, without spending a ton of money upfront.
The other two options give you complete access to everything inside. You could either pay a monthly fee of $295/Month or get a yearly membership, which comes with a price tag of $1,995/Year.
Can You Get a Refund on Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising?
The only way to get a refund for the monthly or yearly subscription is by completing the entire Facebook Ads Profit Maximizer Bootcamp training, and by actively participating inside the private group for an entire year.
If that period goes by without you making at least $10,000 they will refund your investment for the course, but not for the money that you will have to spend on paid ads.
What I Like About Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising
1. It’s Created By a Legit Internet Marketer. Jason Hornung knows what it takes to be successful online, and is qualified to teach others by showing people his exact methods and strategies.
2. Trial Period. This takes off a lot of the risks that come along with investing in similar high ticket courses.
What I Don’t Like About Jason Hornung’s Academy of Advertising
1. You Need to Spend a Decent Chunk of Money. Apart from the hefty monthly or yearly investment, you will have to spend even more money on paid ads, which may not look appealing to everyone.
2. It’s Not For Beginners. In my opinion, beginners shouldn’t spend that much money upfront on courses, in general.
Is There a Better Alternative?
If you want to avoid spending money on any type of ads online, then you can explore other alternatives that can teach you how to promote other people’s products and implement free traffic methods such as producing content on the search engines that gets ranked under specific search terms.
It’s the best long term alternative because once you do the work, your results can stay on top of the search results page for a long time, bringing you in passive income consistently.
If that sounds interesting then you should see how these people are banking profits using a simple yet incredibly effective blueprint that so many neglect and lose out on that.
